This is a vintage Yamaha PSE-40A modular analog effects system, loaded with four plug-in modules: Compressor, Distortion, Phaser, and Chorus.

The Phaser and Chorus really shine on this unit, the Phaser gives that rich, jet-like swoosh that’s super adjustable, while the Chorus adds a lush, wide depth perfect for guitars, synths, or bass. Together, they nail that warm, shimmering texture that defined so many classic 80s sounds.

The whole unit has been fully serviced at Mad Slav Amps, Beaverton, OR, the base has been recapped with brand-new high-quality capacitors, thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and tested. It’s also been professionally converted to 120V, so it runs perfectly on U.S. power with no step-down transformer needed.

Everything works exactly as it should and the condition is excellent, clean front panel, no abuse, just a well-cared-for vintage piece.
